“Look Ma, I made it to Glas-ton-BU-ry!” Someone really should tell Americans that there are only three syllables in Glastonbury, and the ‘u’ is silent. But such is the emotional pull of Brandi Carlile’s songs, her joy at sharing the same space as “so many peace-loving, free thinking people”, you can forgive her pretty much anything.

Central to her swinging country rock set are two massive guitar wig outs, on her own Pride And Joy and a cover of Radiohead’s Fake Plastic Trees.

For someone who rarely tours outside the US Carlile still manages to fill the Pyramid field, her solo ballad The Story eliciting a collective gasp from the crowd, and the closing version of Joni Mitchell’s Woodstock cementing her role as the new torch bearer for Laurel Canyon.

Brandi Carlile Glastonbury 2025 Setlist:

Broken Horses

Swing For The Fences

You And Me On The Rock

You Without Me
