MOJO’s 260-page Queen Golden Jubilee Special is the Complete Works!

Fifty years after their first album was released, the world’s fascination with Queen and Freddie Mercury shows no signs of wavering – a fact borne out by their current sell-out world tour with vocalist Adam Lambert.

To celebrate Queen’s Golden Jubilee, MOJO has brought together the contents of our two sold-out Queen specials, first published in 2021, in a 260-page Deluxe Anthology bookazine.

MOJO The Collectors’ Series: Queen (The Complete Works) is illustrated with dozens of rare and iconic photographs – many of them found in the group’s own archive. Over those 260 pages, it tells the complete story of Queen’s incredible career through in-depth features, exclusive interviews with Brian May and Roger Taylor, and incisive reappraisals of their studio albums.

After exploring Mercury’s unsettled childhood and the group’s early years as a struggling rock band in West London, MOJO’s expert team of writers scrutinise the musical brilliance and backstage excess of Queen’s rise to stardom in the mid ’70s. We take in the peerless A Night At The Opera and A Day At The Races albums, and on to their smash hit single We Are The Champions/We Will Rock You and the infamously debauched party in New Orleans that launched 1978’s Jazz album.

We revisit the international success of The Game and Another One Bites The Dust, and the controversy around 1982’s funky and experimental Hot Space. There is, naturally, a look behind the scenes at 1985’s Live Aid, which reasserted the group’s reputation as a spectacular live act, and see how Queen weathered the tragedy of Freddie’s untimely death to build a new future for themselves in the 2000s.

With heavy card covers and printed on premium quality paper, QUEEN THE COMPLETE WORKS is an essential addition to every fan’s bookshelf - and an excellent gift for Queen fans in the run-up to the festive season.
