ONE OF MOJO’s favourite festivals is taking to the water as it returns for 2016. This year’s Le Beat Bespoke takes place next month over the Easter weekend (March 24-27), bringing together its usual faultless mix of vintage sounds and more – including for the first time a boat trip down the River Thames. The London event, which is anchored at the capital’s 229 Club, kicks off with the first London show in 20 years from Liverpool’s The Stairs on March 24, followed by Bo Ningen the next night (March 25), while Little Barrie and Jim Jones & The Righteous Mind (pictured) will share the bill as part of an all-nighter which takes place on Easter Saturday (26 March).
However, earlier the same day, the MOJO-approved festival will set sail for the first time, offering a daytime, DJ-driven boat party through the heart of London.
“It’s a chance to take in the sights of the metropolis with a cool soundtrack from our DJs,” explains organiser Rob Bailey of the new nautical excursion.
