“I’M HAVING A SHINDIG – me, Red Bob and the ivory host…” A more contemplative, enigmatic, less obviously anthemic Elbow emerge in a live-in-the-studio clip for Fly Boy Blue / Lunette, the first track to be extracted from the group’s forthcoming sixth studio album, The Take Off And Landing Of Everything.
Resplendant in sensible outerwear, singer Guy Garvey appears lost in a poetical landscape, populated by former MPs who dance on the television and intrude on our hero’s inner life. “I’m reaching the age where decisions are made,” he muses.
Meanwhile the group weave one of their typically humble, heart-tugging grooves. Check it out.
