As The Rolling Stones prepare to head out on their 2019 US tour, MOJO proudly presents a deluxe, two-volume collection of its finest writing on the world’s greatest rock’n’roll band.
The first edition, HOT ROCKS 1962-1969, available in shops and online now, charts the group’s story from their early days as blues-loving teenagers in London’s suburbs to the horror of the Altamont festival in December 1969, where their triumphant return to the American concert circuit ended in mayhem and murder. In between are features on everything from the writing of their first big international hit, Satisfaction, and the Redlands drug bust that briefly put Mick Jagger and Keith Richards behind bars, to the mysterious death of founder member Brian Jones and the stories behind the timeless *Beggars Banquet and Let It Bleed albums.
HOT ROCK 1962-1969 comes in a special gatefold sleeve with room for the second volume, HOT ROCKS 1970-2019, out on June 27.
And if you missed our two-part Collectors’ Series deluxe editions on The Beatles, Bowie and Pink Floyd, you can still order them here, too.
